We interviewed Becky Hamilton about Spiral Blue. We asked Becky when Spiral Blue opened.
Becky told us that Spiral Blue opened for its first day in September 2007. Although Windward was founded in 2001. Windward was founded to support and promote people with learning disabilities. We found out when Spiral Blue opened there was roughly eight people attended. In those days Spiral Blue was in a different building not that far from where it is now.
Over the years Spiral Blue has taken on some traditions that include Steppers Shows and making and appearing in the local Carnival.
Spiral Blue has come a long way since those early days, and it continues to support and celebrate people with learning disabilities in the community. We can't wait to see what they do next!
